Prophet Muhammad (The Annunciation)

The Annunciation of the Prophet Muhammad

The prophets foretold the coming of the Seal of the Prophets, Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and commanded their followers to believe in him (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and believe him when he appears. Had it not been for the distortion and falsification that occurred in these books, and the pride and envy of the scholars of the People of the Book, the texts indicating the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would be as clear as the sun in the middle of the day.

The existence of the Annunciation of the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the books of the prophets is one of the most important things emphasized by the Qur'anic and prophetic texts, which stated that no prophet ever reminded his nation about this prophet and took a covenant with them: If Muhammad (peace be upon him) were to be sent, they would believe in him. God said: {And God took the covenant of the prophets when I gave you a book and wisdom, and then a messenger came to you who believed in what you have with you, that you would believe in him and support him.)

Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: ("Allah did not send a prophet from Adam on down, but He took a covenant with him: If Muhammad (peace be upon him) were to be resurrected while he is alive, he would believe in him, support him, and follow him.

The People of the Book know the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, as they know their own children, because the prophets and books have told them about him {those who received the Book know him as they know their own children, but some of them suppress the truth while they know it} (Al-An'am: 20).

The Holy Qur'an emphasized the existence of the good news of our Prophet in the books of the Jews and the Christians, saying, mentioning some of his qualities in them: {Those who follow the Prophet, the Illiterate Prophet, whom they find written in the Torah and the Gospel, commanding them to do good and forbidding them from evil, and forbidding them good things and forbidding them evil things, and removing from them their burdens and the shackles that were upon them} (Al-A'raf: 157).

Although the books of the Jews and Christians have been distorted, they have not disappeared from the lines of their lines, sincere testimonies testifying to the prophethood of our Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

In the book of Isaiah, one of the books of the Torah that Jews and Christians believe in today, the prophet Isaiah threatens the Israelites who distort the Book of God and do not abide by His law, threatening them with the prophet with the sealed book, the prophet who does not know how to read, saying in the twenty-ninth chapter: “Or the book will be given to one who does not know how to write, and he will be told: 'Read: “Or the book will be given to one who does not know how to write, and it will be said to him, 'Read this,' and he will say: I do not know how to read” (Isaiah 29:10-13)

Ibn Taymiyyah says: “I have seen some copies of the Zabur in which the prophethood of Muhammad - may Allah bless him and grant him peace - is declared in his name, and I have seen another copy of the Zabur in which I did not see that, and then it is not forbidden that some copies of the characteristics of the Prophet - may Allah bless him and grant him peace - may not be in another.”

Salman al-Farsi (may Allah be pleased with him), in the famous story of his Islam, told the monk of Ammoriya when he was dying and he said to Salman: “The time is approaching for a prophet of the religion of Abraham to come out of the land of the Arabs, migrating to a land between two liberties with palm trees between them, with signs that are not hidden, eating a gift and not eating charity, and between his shoulders is the seal of prophethood, so if you can join that country, do so.”

Salman then narrated the story of his coming to Medina and his enslavement, his meeting with the Messenger of Allah - may Allah bless him and grant him peace - at the time of the migration, his gift of food to him as charity, from which the Prophet - may Allah bless him and grant him peace - did not eat, his gift of food to him as a gift and his eating of it, his seeing the ring of prophethood between his shoulders, and his Islam as a result of that.

Ibn Hisham, in his biography, mentions the story of Ibn al-Hiban, who left the Levant and stayed in Bani Qurayzah and then died two years before the Prophet's mission. When he was about to die, he said to Bani Qurayzah: “O Jews, what do you think brought me from the land of wine and wine (Levant) to the land of misery and hunger (Hijaz)?” They said: ”I came to this town to wait for a prophet whose time has come, and I hoped that he would be sent, so I followed him.

It is stated in (Minyat al-Azkiyah in the Stories of the Prophets): “Our Prophet - peace be upon him - was foretold by the previous prophets, and they testified to the truthfulness of his prophethood, and they described him in a way that eliminated every possibility, as they stated his name, country, gender, ornaments, phases and attributes, and although the People of the Book deleted his name from their last copies, this did not help them, because the attributes that historians of every race and religion agreed on remained, and they are more indicative than the name of the one named, as two people may share a name and two people cannot share all descriptions. However, not long ago, they began to distort some of the attributes in order to discredit them from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), so you see each late copy differing from the previous one in some places, a difference that is not hidden to the intelligent, nor what was intended by it, and this did not benefit them except to strengthen the suspicion against them, because copies spread naturally and facilitated comparison between them.”

The prophets preached the beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and the scholars of the previous books knew that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) was near, and they were waiting for him and preaching about him, and when he was sent, some of them believed in him, and others were prevented by envy and pride from believing in him.

There is no doubt that the proofs of the truthfulness of the Prophet's prophethood do not depend on these glad tidings from the previous prophets and from the scholars of the People of the Book. The proofs of the Holy Qur'an in terms of rhetorical and scientific miracles, the proofs of the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) on the occurrence of physical miracles and the witness of thousands of Muslims, and the proofs of the Prophetic biography, his character and morals, and others, all of which confirm the truthfulness of the prophethood of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
